The Davison Family- Week 1

Making Ends Meet

Weekly Update Written by: Lily

Gramps and I furnished our house with the left over money after purchasing our house. We enjoyed the company of the people who came to welcome us to the neighborhood. The three neighbors that came over were Ben Long, Brandi LeTourneau, and Kim Adams.

For the first few days Gramps and I just stayed in the house as neither of us felt much like working. We were reminiscing over Mom again. I miss her, though I barely even knew her before she died.

Though, I eventually made friends with Sophie Miguel. I brought her home from school occasionally. We were soon best friends. I'm glad I made a friend so quickly.

Gainell Roberts came over one day to visit his neighbors. We played chess for hours. It makes me wish my mother was still alive so that I could play chess with her. Gainell was understanding about the loss of a mother as his wife, a mother of four, died from cancer a few years ago.

Gramps told me that Mom enjoyed painting. He bought me an easel after I told him that I was interested in learning to paint. I really enjoy painting and I now know why my mother enjoyed it so much.

I was very determined to get to the top of the teen culinary track in the neighborhood so that I would have a leg up in the cooking field for when I have a family of my own. Gramps was interested in helping out to keep money in the house.

As Sunday wound down to an end I decided to reflect on the last week and wonder what would happen to me next week.

The Kirkman Family- Week 1

Friends and Lovers

Weekly Update Written by: Victoria Kirkman

We furnished the house assigned to us and had a little money left over to live off of. I knew this house would serve as the basis for the heiress that is decided later. Daniel and I decided that since my father, Kane, was living with us that we would both get a job. Daniel got a job in the Law Enforcement career and I got a job in the Journalism career.

My twin daughters, Amanda and Elise, were close before we moved here. But since we moved away from their friends, they have become closer since they only know each other being their age.

In the welcome wagon, was Aimee Thomas. She is raising her father's three kids: Lucius, Kori, and Nicholas. My father greeted her. They soon started chatting about each other's childhood. They seemed to really hit it off. I would love for my father to get remarried. I know that would mean him leaving the house, but I know that that would make my dad's day if you know what I mean.

It was even more obvious of how much they had hit it off when I caught my father tickling Ms. Thomas.

Daniel really enjoys having another toddler in the house, especially since it's a boy. He was excited about me having twins because I could have fraternal twins with one of each gender. I knew he was slightly upset when they turned out to be two girls. But I know he wouldn't have it any other way now.

Daniel and I rarely get time alone since we both work and have to deal with twins and a toddler. However, when we do have a few free minutes, we spend a few of them with each other.

Father really enjoys having another toddler in the house to snuggle. He really loved doing it with Amanda and Elise.

Father even decided to let Daniel and I have a break by helping to teach Patrick how to talk. I jokingly told him to not teach Patrick swear words and Father just laughed at me.

Father also plays with his granddaughters. I really like having him live with us here so that he can become close to his grandchildren.

Patrick had his birthday today and he is quite the handsome little boy. I know he will grow up to be a handsome young man.

Father eventually started flirting with Aimee. I know that someday those two will marry and Father will go live with Aimee due to Aimee raising her grandchildren.

He still manages to fix breakfast for the family, even if it is just toaster pastries. He makes sure the kids have their homework done, hair brushed, and have their lunch before they head off for school. I will miss him when he leaves.

Amanda brought home Marsha Bruenig from school. From what I've heard from other families here, is that she is an attention seeker and loves to call people. If she makes it a habit with us, I will be having a long talk with her about what it means to be a stalker.

Both Amanda and Elise are making an effort to get to know their brother. I know they both love him to death and are willing to share their toys with him. I think they are just glad to have another person they can play with that doesn't have to head home at 6 pm.
